Logix3 Corporate Overview

Logix3 was formed by a team of managers with extensive background in the development and marketing of private label and national brand consumer products. Specializing in Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) product information management, package management and process enhancement, Logix3 is a leader in the development of innovative solutions.

The company's primary services provide web enabled workflow applications to manufacturers, retailers and distributors helping manage the vast array of product information necessary for efficient product execution. Our adaptable collaborative processes, supported by software technology, have demonstrated proven results which significantly increase efficiency, accuracy, accountability and speed to market.

Logix3 outsourced services are currently used by large retail, distributor and CPG companies worldwide. Since 2003, Sysco Food Service has exclusively used our Packaging Management service to reduce turn time, rework and resources.

The company's headquarters, located in Jacksonville, Florida, is equipped with a fully redundant state of the art communications and support infrastructure.
Whether we are currently supporting a packaging solution for you or designing a new solution for your company's future, Logix3 always focuses on four key management principles:

The Logix3 leadership team has intimate knowledge of the complexities involved in the development and approval of CPG workflow and packaging.

It became evident during the creation of Logix3's first packaging application, the Packaging Artwork Collaboration system, that the current "best practices" used for packaging development had become overly complicated and not kept up with improvements in business processes or technology..

Addressing each process step with the following questions helps to eliminate unnecessary or redundant steps in the packaging workflow execution chain.

  • Why Is This Done
  • Who Is Responsible
  • What Are the Tangible Benefits
  • Can I Track/Quantify the Value of This Action

One of the most sensitive factors in the development of a CPG product or packaging is speed to market. Regardless of the products history or value, if you cannot get it to market fast enough to penetrate, your product will not succeed as well as you would expect. You may also find yourself releasing a product after your competition, even though you began the development lifecycle well before they did.

A project can be broken down into three easily identified areas, each of which affects the overall delivery timeline in a specific way.

Initiation: When a CPG product is selected invariably the program is burdened by a lengthy initiation process. Many times this is due to the order of operations, lack process based oversight on new initiatives, or a simply the lack of accurate data.

Execution: A wide array of factors can cause delays in addressing new items in the work queue. The longer the delay, the greater the possibility that the work item may get lost or buried by more visible activities. Our transactional knowledge will clearly impact execution timelines.

Completion: The final step for most product or package processes is the approval. Based upon the responsibility sets within a company, this can be a single individual or a consensus group of multiple departments. This stage in development it is commonplace for product/package data to be incomplete. When this occurs, delays are inevitable, rework is required and the entire lifecycle of the product comes into question.

Logix3 understands how these macro process steps can significantly affect each other and the overall turn time of the initiative. We utilize our own workflow engine and support team to execute the correct monitoring and process.

At each step, Logix3 applications are tracking project progress ensuring that the appropriate actions are taken when a workflow activity is in jeopardy of missing its scheduled deadline.

According to a study by Capgemini, as much as 50% of the product data in company systems is erroneous. Couple with this, the latest industry push to develop corporate wide Master Data Management systems, it's clear that many companies continue to struggle with data accuracy problem.

How effective can your company be making product and marketing decisions if they are based on questionable data?

While most companies have focused their data initiatives on generating a single version of the truth, the truth they arrive at may not be the right one. Logix3 adds a secondary layer, ownership, to the process of data consolidation. Large gains in timeliness and accuracy can be realized simply by identifying the owner of specific data and defining oversight responsibility for the accuracy of that data.

Logix3 can provide transactional workflow templates where the right data is updated by the right people at the right time. Sourcing data in this fashion allows your company to manage the accuracy and timeliness of all data.

Losses due to untraceable errors, lack of project activity and issues surrounding accountability can quickly add up in both hard and soft project costs. Logix3 knows the multitude of moving parts associated with a packaging project is a major obstacle to maintaining accountability.

Logix3 maintains a "state in time" auditing solution, allowing your company to look at data in question at any given point in time. This provides full disclosure and clarity regarding decisions that may be questionable or changes in data which may not have been authorized. Project impacts related to data errors can be practically eliminated with the right process controls.

Aside from data related issues, process accountability is a chief cause of project delay. Logix3 is able to work with your company and define a workflow and process timeline which maintains a high level of accountability on all associated company and personnel. Each workflow step is tracked for timeliness, accuracy, and the party responsible for the activity. Metrics pertaining to accuracy and timeliness are maintained for each step of the process ensuring failures, bottlenecks or other challenges can be quickly located and resolved.

With proper governance and accountability, Logix3 and your company should be able to even predict and act on process failures before they occur.
